Notice for Press Briefing on April 28, 2016

Dear Journalists,

You are cordially invited to attend a press briefing held by the General Office of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC) in Taiwan Hall of the Great Hall of the People at 16:00, Thursday, April 28, 2016.

The 20th session of the 12th NPC Standing Committee, which started Monday, is reviewing the draft law to regulate overseas nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) and the draft resolution on deepening law promotion and education. If the drafts are approved by the session, officials from the Legislative Affairs Commission of the NPC Standing Committee, the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Justice will be invited to answer questions from the press over the new law.

You are kindly reminded that there will be no interpretation for the press briefing. Please raise your questions in Chinese.

If interested, you may pick up the invitation letters and parking permits from the Information Bureau of the General Office of the NPC Standing Committee (Address: No.1 Qianmen West Street, Xicheng District) by showing your valid press card before 5:00 p.m., April 27, 2016.

Please show invitation letters to enter the North Gate of the Great Hall of the People and park your cars at the North Gate with the parking permits.
